2/27/08 - Wayne Jones recommends Don Varian to Jennifer Brunner for appointment to the Summit County Board of Elections.
2/29/08 - Jennifer Brunner appoints Don Varian to the Summit County Board of Elections.
From today's Akron Beacon Journal:
"When asked about the news conference Sunday, Varian said, ''Stay tuned.''
He declined further comment, except to predict that it will be ''an interesting news conference.''
''I hope to be there,'' he said.
Varian hasn't ruled out the possibility of trying for the chairmanship. He had said he and Coughlin wanted to wait to see the results of the March election before announcing a chairman candidate."
Coughlin - Varian - Jones. The New Summit Republicans' leadership team? Stay tuned, indeed.
